Artist of the Week- Lauren Cedar

Our Window Walk Gallery highlighted Artist of the Week is Lauren Cedar!

Lauren is a passionate contemporary artist residing in La Quinta, CA, currently focused on graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Biola University. She actively strives to reflect qualities of nature, wonder, and hope within my artwork emphasizing her fond admiration for the beauty within the ever-changing environment. 

“My personal creativity is fully expressed when I commit to new techniques and compositional strategies within the perspective of photography and sculpture.”

Lauren plans to advance into a Master of Arts program this coming Fall 2021, pursuing a professional and creative career path by advancing into a leadership role. “I truly desire to foster my administrative mindset through working at a museum, actively building an inclusive and creative community.”

When asked why she submitted her work for the Window Walk Gallery she replied, “Mental health awareness tends to be overlooked within peoples’ lives. Many of my close friends in college are currently struggling with anxiety and depression throughout these difficult moments and personal changes. I truly believe that this gallery can bring more conversation and interaction between other people, strengthening our support for the community and fostering an environment of peacefulness and well-being.”
